This morning I had an appointment with the admission coordinator at Daemen College – Buffalo, NY. We went over my admission application into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Everything went well and promising. The meeting lasted about fifteen minutes and was ready to head back to Rochester, NY. My friend and I hopped in the car and started talking about the possibility of me getting into the physical therapy school and things that could go along with it. The atmosphere was full of hope, excitement, and confidence. As a matter of fact, the atmosphere was so thrilling that carried was away from going back home toward Niagara Falls – an unplanned trip. Arriving to the prominent Niagara Falls things couldn’t get any better. After stopping by the Information Center to grab our free gifts a map and a card, and after buying a disposal camera of course, we were “equipped” to head to the Falls. As I got there, I have seen how the grown up girl in me transformed into this innocent child that got excited of seeing the beauty of the Niagara Falls, the beauty of the nature. It was that amazing that I tried to “steal” the scene with my disposable camera. I was sensing and absorbing everything I could feel and see in my way starting with the smell of the fresh-fall air and ending with the unforgettable colors of the rainbow, respectively. When I thought that it couldn’t get any better than that I found myself a few feet away from the Falls. I was that close that I could feel the refreshing mist on my face. It was unbelievable and indescribable experience. I wanted to stay there for the rest of the day and see everything the Niagara Falls had to offer but we had to wake up to reality and head back home from our unplanned trip. Spontaneity makes things more fun.

“Fool’s gold”, “Marion Jones is broke”, “Jones in court, set to admit to using steroids” – these are the headlines news you are going to see in pretty much any sport magazines. Marion Jones one time has been said to be “The Fastest Woman on Earth”, “Fast and Fearless”, “Sprinting Sensation”, or the Los Angeles Time has concluded of being “the first woman in history to win five track and field medals at one Olympic Games.” Recently, Marion Jones admits she took steroids before 2000 Olympic Games by writing a letter to family and close friends stating that she is apologizing for all of this and that she is sorry for disappointing all of us in so many ways.
